Angkor Thom
Angkor Thom, the Great City was served as a religious and administrative center of the powerful Khmer Empire. Once entering to the ancient great city, you will not be surprised why numerous visitors referred to Angkor Thom as an affluent city. The entire area of Angkor Thom illuminates detailing scenes from battles to people from different walks of life. Inside the walls were the residences of the king, his family, and officials whereas the rest of the people lived outside. “Bayon”, Terrace of the Elephants, and Terrace of the Leper King (Leper King is correct and true according to Dawn Rooney, writer who traced out history of Cambodia.) among others were located within the wall of Angkor Thom. An impressive monument of Bayon stands firm reflecting Buddhist ideology in its design, architecture, and decoration. Upon strolling around the area, you will be amazed with this magnificent architecture that makes you feel like you are being watched at all time.
 
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is the largest monument in Cambodia and is a dedicattion to Hinduism. With its perfect composition, balance, proportions, reliefs, and sculpture of Khmer art, the site is placed in the front line as one of the most intact architectural masterpieces in the world. Historical evidence suggests that Angkor Wat is a replica of the universe in stone and represents a model of the cosmic world.
 
Banteay Samre
This simply magnificent temple complex was constructed by King Suryavarman II in the 12th Century, and was later restored by the French. An impressive, ground level complex, Banteay Samre is one of the area’s least visited temple complexes, boasting excellent Angkor quality carvings on a much smaller scale.
 
Chantiers Ecoles
This school in the Siem Reap town specializes in teaching wood and stone carving techniques to youngsters from impoverished backgrounds.Initially open to the public,visitors have to make an appointment to look around now.The craft shop on the premises sells various kinds of handicrafts from simple carvings to household furniture.
 
Laos
Patousay
The Gateway of Victory (Patuxai) is the Lao version of the Arc de Triumphe, and was built in early 1960s to commemorate Lao casualties in pre-Revolutionary wars. Situated on the main road in Vientiane, this monument exhibits a harmonious blend of French architecture and Lao style.
 
Wat Si Saket
Situated in town, the temple is believed to be the oldest one in Vientiane. Built in 1818 by King Chao Anou who educated from Bangkok court, thus Wat Si Saket has a combination of both Siamese and Lao architectures: its ordination hall is teeming with colonnaded terrace of Bangkok style while interior walls of the cloister are riddled with typical Lao Buddha images.
 
Wat Xieng Thong
This impressive temple was constructed at the junction of the Mekong and Khan Rivers in the mid-16th Century, and is by far the most spectacular of all Luang Prabang Temples. Build in traditional Laotian style, Wat Xieng Thong is an excellent example of traditional Laotian architecture, and should not be missed…
 
Vietnam
Army Museum
The Vietnam Army Museum is located on Dien Bien Phu Street in Hanoi. It was formerly the French expeditionary barracks and covers 10,000 m2 divided into 30 showrooms. It opened in December 1959. The Vietnam Army Museum contains objects and documents related to the establishment and development of the Vietnamese armed forces. There are many artifacts demonstrating the tradition of fighting against foreign aggressors in previous eras. The museum also has many displays depicting the development of the Vietnamese armed forces. The evolution of the Vietnamese National Army and the Vietnamese People’s Army (1946-1954) is displayed with weapons, maps, and objects of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. The fighting period against the United States army, which ended in 1975, is also represented through maps, models of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, plus artifacts that belonged to heroic Vietnamese soldiers. Several large and impressive artifacts, such as heavy weapons retrieved from enemy forces and shards of US planes, are also exhibited.
 
Ngoc Son Temple
Also referred to as the Jade Mountain Temple, this impressive structure was constructed in the 18th Century, and is located on an island in the northern section of Hoan Keim Lake. Peaceful and serene, this temple is an ideal place to relax, and can be reached via the Huc bridge, which was built in 1885.
