Itinerary : Your Tour Program

Day 1 Morning: Leave by car for 45 kilometers, heading south of Mae Hong Son. The day begins with a moderate walk along a track, following a stream up through mix deciduous forest for an average of 3 hours. Continue going uphill, reaching a ridge with spectacular vies. Keep going along the beautiful ridge for about 2 hours towards a Karen Village. Time to rest and enjoy the simple atmosphere of villager. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Breakfast. This day begins with an undulating walk through secondary and evergreen forest for 2 hours. Continue uphill towards a Hmong (Meo) Village. Learn about the unique architecture of this fascinating tribe. Continue to trek 2 hours, going downhill to a small Karen Village for over night. Experience a herbal sauna while resting before dinner.

Day 3 After breakfast, trek through mix deciduous and bamboo forest and mountainside for 3 hours, arriving at beautiful waterfall. There is time for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water before enjoying lunch. Continue 1 hour down the stream towards the Camp site in primary forest. This is a great site for night observation for any keen participants. Overnight is spent under a sturdy bamboo shelter.

Day 4 After breakfast, trek along the level track for about 1 hour. Continue, following a river track for 4 hours to a Karen Hilltribe village. Dinner and over night.

Day 5 After Breakfast, cross the hill towards the ridge and then continue for 2 hours. There are panoramic views of the valleys surrounding you. Rest and then continue to another small Karen Village, about 3 hours walk, for overnight. Dinner is provided in the unique hilltribe setting, which you are welcomed to give a hand experiencing the different cooking techniques.

Day 6 Breakfast at 07.00 am. Follow a track around the valley for about 3 hours until you reach a Lisu Village. Continue down hill 3 hours to the Pai River where you will be spending the night next to the camp fire on the side of the Pai River. Another excellent time for observing life alongside the river. Learn some bush survival techniques as your dinner is cooked using mainly bamboo.

Day 7 After breakfast, walk along a small valley and bamboo forest for an average of 4 hours before reaching a Karen Village where we stop for lunch. Here is a small, crystal clear waterfall and pools where you can swim. After lunch continue 2 hours to a Lisu Village where you will spend the night. After dinner enjoy a traditional, song and dance performance the this very colorful tribe.

Day 8 After breakfast, trek along the mountain track average of 5 hours heading to a Lahu Village. Before reaching the village, stop for swim in a great waterfall. Enjoy having dinner amongst the simple atmosphere of the Lahu lifestyle then time to rest.

Day 9 After breakfast, head along an undulating track for 4 hours towards another Lisu Village on the main road. Pick up by car to Soppong where you will stop for lunch. After lunch continue by car 30 minutes heading south to the Namkong River to begin the white water rafting. Experience the exhilarating trip along the Namkong River for about 3 hours before reaching the forest camp site.

Day 10 Enjoy having breakfast on the banks of the river, surrounded by natural beauty. At 8.00 am. continue white water rafting down the Pai River, through magnificent scenery for 4 hours towards Mae Hong Son. Before reaching Mae Hong Son embank on an elephant ride for about an hour before arriving to your accommodation for hot shower and comfortable bed. Then enjoy our last meal together ( B.B.Q.) What about a cold bottle of beer?

You should book the sightseeing tour at least 2 days before the tour date (Monday - Friday). However, it will depend on the tour availability too.
