Trip Overview

One of the most popular trips to explore Thailand's best destinations, on this unhurried trip we drive north from Bangkok with several stops on the way to visit highlights including the World Historical Heritage sites at Ayuthaya, Sukhothai, and Si Satchanalai and also experience a lovely city tour by horse-drawn carriage at Lampang. In Chiang Rai the northernmost province of Thailand we have ample time to explore the ancient town of Chiang Saen, enjoy a Mekong boat trip in the Golden Triangle where Myanmar - Laos - and Thailand meet, and visit the diverse hill tribes at Doi Mae Salong before proceeding to Chiang Mai.

Besides sightseeing in the beautiful town of Chiang Mai and vicinity, we will have time to experience an elephant riding and rafting at the scenic Mae Taeng valley before return to Bangkok by plane on the next day.
