Itinerary : Your Tour Program
Day 1  PHNOM PENH - ARRIVAL Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, welcome by your guide and transfer to the hotel. First discover Phnom Penh with a city tour including the Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight : at hotel

Day 2  PHNOM PENH Breakfast at hotel and visit of Tuol Sleng Museum. Free time to shop at the Russei Market. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit of the magnificent National Museum, the Central Market and the Wat Ounalom. Sunset cruise on the Mekong and the Tonle Sap rivers. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel.

Day 3  PHNOM PENH - OUDONG - KOMPONG THOM After breakfast at hotel drive to Oudong, the former capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Visit the various temples and the three large stupas where the ashes of three former kings are preserved. Then visit the most impressive structure of the site, the �Vihara of the 18-Cubit Buddha�. Picnic lunch at Oudong. In the afternoon cross the Tonle Sap River by ferry and continue north to Kompong Thom. Arrival late afternoon and check-in at your hotel. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Kompong Thom.

Day 4  KOMPONG THOM - SAMBOR PREI KUK - SIEM REAP Breakfast at local restaurant and departure for the visit of Sambor Prei Kuk (28 kms � 40 mns drive), pre-angkorian site (7th C.). The complex of Ishanapura is composed of 4 groups of temples. These are among the most ancient surviving examples of Khmer architecture. Picnic on site before continuing to Siem Reap by road (175 kms, last 70 km in bad condition!). Arrival in Siem Reap in the late afternoon. Dinner at hotel.

Day 5  SIEM REAP After breakfast at hotel, start your visit of Angkor by an elephant trek from the South Gate of Angkor Thom, to Preah Pithu temples, passing by the famous Bayon temple. Visit the Bayon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. After lunch, visit the majestic tempel of Angkor Wat until sunset. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6  SIEM REAP After breakfast at hotel, continue the visit with the Grand Circuit: The Prasat Kravan, Eastern Mebon, Leak Neang and Ta Som, Neak Pean and the Preah Khan temples. Lunch at hotel and in the afternoon visit of the Small Circuit: Visit of Chao Say Tevoda, Thommanon, Takeo and Banteay Kdei temples. Sunset at Pre Rup temple. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 7  SIEM REAP Breakfast at hotel. Excursion to the secluded Beng Mealea � one of the most mysterious temples at Angkor (60 kms � 1hr 45 mns). Visit of Kbal Spean � the River of Thousand Lingas � and have lunch in a local restaurant. Stop to explore Banteay Srei temple on the way back. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 8  SIEM REAP Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Chong Kneas, the fishing village on the Tonle Sap and depart on board a nicely restored traditional wooden boat. Cruise on the Tonle Sap Lake to enjoy the insights of the centuries old traditions of the daily life and the natural splendor of the country. Lunch at your hotel. In Siem Reap, visit the "Chantiers Ecoles - Les Artisans d'Angkor" which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone-carving and wood-sculpting. Dinner at local restaurant with Apsara Dance performance and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 9  SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Siem Reap flight for departure.
