THE ULUWATU TRAIL
A fascinating trip to the extreme southwestern tip of Bali for a visit of the Uluwatu Temple, which is situated high on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. This is one of the oldest and most respected holy places of Bali. Afterwards dive into the �hustle and bustle� of Kuta to browse for bargains and enjoy the sunset.

THE BEDUGUL TRAIL
This excursion leads deep into the rural heartland of Bali, in search of its natural charm and scenic beauty. After a short stop at the Royal temple of Mengwi, the tour leads first to the volcanic lake of Bedugul. Stroll along the local orchid and fruit market and visit the botanical garden. The tour continues to the breathtaking valleys of rice paddies at Jatiluwih. Before returning, there is a final stop at the ancient, little known temple of Batu Karu, mysteriously hidden in lush vegetation.

THE UBUD TRAIL
The first destination if there is little time. This trail gives an opportunity to take a closer look at some of the central villages that are famous for their handicrafts, such as Tohpati, known for its batik and Celuk, the center of exquisite silver and gold works. Proceed to Mas, known for its fine woodcarvers and visit Ubud, since long the cultural heart of Bali with many fine galleries and home to a score of local and foreign painters. In the afternoon, free leisure.

THE EAST BALI TRAIL
A full day tour to explore the Karangasem Regency. Stop at the Goa Lawah Bat Cave. Visit the village of Tenganan, an original pre-Hindu settlement and still a stronghold of ancient traditions. Then proceed to Tirtagangga, a complex of water basins, fountains and statues built by the King of Karangasem on the site of a sacred spring. Return through a string of traditional villages and stop in Putung for the most impressive panorama of the eastern coast.

THE BESAKIH TRAIL
The main destination of this excursion is the Besakih temple, also known as the �Mother Temple of Bali� on the slopes of the holy Gunung Agung volcano. We visit a Balinese ikat-weaving factory in the town of Gianyar and see the justice court of Klungkung, known for its ancient Gelgel ceiling paintings. Return through a landscape of stunning rice paddies.
