Itinerary : Your Tour Program

Day 1 HEHO � TAUNGGYI � KAKKU - INLE LAKE Meet on arrival of morning flight from Mandalay, Bagan, Yangon, Kyaing Tong or Tachilek at Heho airport. Upon arrival at Heho airport, drive to Taunggyi (40 km � 1 hour) and continue over a bad and bumpy road (about 1 hour drive, depending on road and weather conditions) to Kakku. Visit the magnificent Kakku Pagoda complex of over 2000 stupas. Return to Htan-Pha-Ya village and cave. Unknown Shan Buddha images of various sizes are kept on the wall of the small & shallow Htan-Pha-Ya cave. After picnic style packed lunch at the outdoor cave court-yard visit a typical Pao village including their plantations on the way back to Taunggyi. Transfer from Taunggyi to Nyaung Shwe (30 km - 1 hour) and continue by boat to Paradise Inle Resort (**, built on stilts over Inle Lake), or Golden Island Cottages for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 INLE LAKE After breakfast, full day excursion by boat on Inle Lake to see the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life and magnificent scenery. You will visit the Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, one of the main principle shrines in Myanmar and dating back to the 18th century; the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, famous for its jumping cats trained by monks; the weaving village of Inpawkhon and to one of the local markets in the Inle Lake region (on market days only). Lunch in a local restaurant on the lake itself. Dinner and overnight stay at Paradise Inle Resort (**, built on stilts over Inle Lake), Golden Island Cottages or similar on Inle Lake.

Day 3 INLE LAKE � PINDAYA After breakfast, return to Nyaung Shwe by boat and drive (90 km - 2 1/2 hours) to Pindaya. Visit Pindaya Caves, a unique site housing thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over the centuries. After lunch at local restaurant start your trekking tour (approx. 4-5 hrs) with various stops at Da-nu and Pa-O villages to see their traditional way of life. Trekking time might take longer depending on individual fitness levels. Dinner and overnight stay at Inle Inn Hotel, Conqueror (**) or similar in Pindaya.

Day 4 PINDAYA � HEHO After breakfast, visit the colorful local market (on market days only) before transfer (50 km - 1 1/2 hour) to Heho airport for departure flight.

You should book the sightseeing tour at least 2 days before the tour date (Monday - Friday). However, it will depend on the tour availability too.
