Bargain hunting at Chatuchak (JJ) Market

Chatuchak or Jatujak weekend Market is the largest market in Thailand, and possibly the largest in the world. Also known in short as JJ, this outdoor market covers over 35 acres (1.13 km
2) and contains over 15,000 stalls. Most stalls only open on Saturdays and Sundays with an exception of Friday for wholesales and plants. It is estimated that the market receives between 200,000 and 300,000 visitors each day.
Chatuchak sells everything imaginable including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, antiques, paintings, foods, and pets. Prepare a whole day to enjoy bargaining and roaming around the market!
Getting There:
Chatuchak market is adjacent to the
Kamphaengphet station (MRT) of the Bangkok Underground, or approximately a 5-minute walk from the
Mo Chit (หมอชิต) Skytrain (BTS) station and Suan Chatuchak station(MRT).
