Jalan Petaling in Malay, is a vibrant Chinatown of Kuala Lumpur. It is often crowded with locals and tourists from afternoon till late night haggling for for cheap clothes, watches, shoes, sunglasses, other accessories, souvenirs and DVDs/CDs. A walk along the street is a real cultural experience for adventurous visitors. This place is a hub counterfeit items such as Rolex, Seiko, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Nike, Armani, Gucci, Prada and lots more. Like other Chinatowns, Petaling Street is also known for the Chinese pharmacies that stock ginseng, herbs and all sort of traditional remedies. Remember that negotiation skills are crucial when you shop on Petaling Street. Westerners will always get steep prices, so Bargain Hard!

Getting There:The Chinatown zone can be accessed from the main road of Jalan Cheng Lock, you won’t miss the distinctive Oriental arch entrance. Visitors travelling around Kuala Lumpur on buses and taxis will pass by Petaling Street on their way.
The nearest stations are Pasar Seni LRT station of the Kelana Jaya Line and the Maharajalela Monorail station.
