The Baan Chaweng is a nice resort well off the loud main street but there are a few issues well outside the control of the resort that should be taken into account before booking. There are about 5 airplanes that fly overhead a day starting about 9 in the morning and running til about 10:30 at night. Also there are frequent fireworks set off at very close proximity to the resort throught the nig...

have spent 2 great summer holidays at this hotel 2007 & 2008 and am in the process of booking for this year.location is best on Chaweng as central to everything,but is also away from main street so peaceful also.restaurant is excellent with very fair prices.setting and grounds 1st class and i would recommend to anyone.
