Decent hotel

Royal peacock is a good hotel for budget business travellers. Does not have sufficient lighting and fresh ventilation in budget rooms. Breakfast is good, Staff is helpful and well mannered.

Dreadful hotel

Royal Peacock is dark, gloomy and badly maintained. I thought it would interesting to experience the glory of old Singapore instead I was given a room that can best be described as depressing. My bathroom had a leaky roof. Apparently the staff were aware of it when I complained. Yet I was given the room.

Good for business budget traveler

The hotel is near little india area and close to Simlim square which is electric shops building. Also very close to Bugis shopping area.
There is free wifi in the lobby area, but small signal in the room.
The staff is very friendly.
