Be inspired by a very diverse selection of arts from 970 artists across Australia and around the world in the 2012 Adelaide Festival. The year, 17 days long festival features 386 performances. This is including 37 world premiere (three performance based and 34 visual arts), and 62 Australian.

premieres The highlights of this year's event are the Australian premiere of "A Streetcar", a play based on Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire" -- starring Isabelle Huppert, and directing by Polish director, Kryzysztof Warlikowski, a play from Harold Pinter's masterwork "The Caretaker" -- starring Tony Award winning British actor Jonathan Pryce. More than that the festival also is the venue for "Raoul", the new large-scale fantastical solo work of French master of theatrical spectacle, James Thiérrée.
